Luckily, Austin has a lot of fun, cheap, and artsy activities that can be enjoyed by you and your honey or the whole family! Here are 9 things to do for Valentine’s Day:



1.Valentine’s Austin Flea

Head on over to the Austin Flea, Valentine’s edition, on February 13th! This would be a fun event to go to with friends while supporting some of Austin’s local vendors. The market has great gifts for Valentine’s Day, so if you’ve procrastinated on shopping now is your chance! Plus, there will be live music to enjoy, and the whole event is free!


2. Date With Bollywood-Valentine’s Day Dinner Party

Take your date out for a memorable cultural experience this Valentine’s Day! Not only can you experience a couple’s dance workshop and live Bollywood performances, but the ticket also includes an exotic three-course meal.


3. February Corgi Valentine

It should be a known fact that almost everyone in Austin loves dogs. On February 13th, Zilker Park will be full of cute Corgis running around for you and your date, friends, or family to enjoy!

Visiting an art gallery can be the perfect way to spend a Valentine’s Day afternoon before your dinner reservation. Big Medium Art Gallery is a non-profit organization that supports contemporary art in Texas, and they have East and West Studio Tours her in Austin.


4. Love is a Funny Thing! Valentine’s Day Show

For those of you are looking for a laugh this Valentine’s, the Love is a Funny Thing! Improv comedy show is the perfect activity. The event features award-winning improv performers, tons of entertainment, and complimentary flowers and chocolates.

5. Shopping for Love- Hotel San Jose

Looking for something unique to do with your special someone? Stop by Hotel San Jose’s Shopping for Love, where sisters Hilary and Trilby Nelson will be showcasing their environmental designs and textile arts, along with others. Guests can also enjoy food and drinks, and admission is free.


6. Love Me Tinder

Another option for a night full of laughter and entertainment is Love Me Tinder, a musical sketch comedy all about the mishaps that happen when it comes to dating in the digital age.


7. Blue Starlite Drive-In

Give a classic date a Valentine’s Day spin by going to the Blue Starlite Drive-In to watch The Princess Bride on the 14th. Black’s BBQ will also be on location, so you can get dinner and a movie in one!


8. Take Pictures at some of Austin’s Murals
